1910: The Camp Fire Girls organization was formed.
1969: The Newman Center at Northern State College was scheduled to be completed and ready for use by the fall.
1987: About 80 men were working for 22 contractors on NSU's new Barnett Center. Completion was scheduled for Sept. 1 of that year.
2001: OPEC decided to curtail its official output by 4 percent, or 1 million barrels of oil a day, in an effort to halt a slide in oil prices.
