A Danville woman has died from injuries suffered in a Sunday morning crash on Perryville Road.
Danville police officer Robert Ladd said the collision happened about 11 a.m. at the intersection of Perryville Road and Thoroughbred Drive, which is the entrance to Big Lots on one side and Danville Cinema 8 on the other.

Ladd said a preliminary report indicates that a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Patrick Kidd, 26, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., was eastbound on Perryville Road coming from Perryville. Ladd said witnesses told police Kidd traveled through a red light and hit the driver side of a Ford Escort driven by Ann McChord, 77, who was leaving the Big Lots parking lot.
McChord was taken by ambulance to the helipad at Kentucky School for the Deaf and airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center with severe head trauma. Ladd said she was pronounced dead shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday.
Kidd was not injured.
Ladd said an accident reconstruction will be done this week. No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation is ongoing, he said.
