STANFORD — Delmer Ray Johnson, 60, of Stanford died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Fort Logan Hospital.

He was born Dec. 8, 1951 in Parksville, Ky., to Cora Johnson Privett and the late Melvin Johnson. He was self-employed, trading in horses, and for 32 years was the owner/operator of Johnson's Trailer Sales in Stanford. He was a member of Faith Temple Church.

   Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Diana Taylor Johnson of Stanford; four children, Troy (Jamie) Johnson and Angela (Steven) Turner, both of Stanford, and Daniel (Julie) Johnson and Dennis (Stephanie) Johnson, both of Crab Orchard; his mother, Cora Johnson Privett of Crab Orchard; nine brothers and sisters, Jerry Johnson, Melvin Johnson, Patricia Byrd, Ricky Johnson, Kathy Preston, Connie Downs, Jeff Johnson, Brenda Brock and Clara Sweeney; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Michael Johnson.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today, Jan. 29, 2012. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, all at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
