The right-hander was last year's Opening Day starter. Now he's fighting for a slot at the back end of the Orioles' rotation. And if that doesn't work out, he could be the Opening Day starter for the Norfolk Tides this season.<br>

The Orioles believe he has all the talent in the world and they love his worth ethic, but he just hasn't been able to able to put it all together. He went 3-9 with a 6.20 ERA in 24 games for the Orioles in 2012. But he'll be 27 on March 6 and with phenoms like Dylan Bundy and Kevin Gausman waiting in the wings, time is running out for Arrieta to show he can be the big-game pitcher the Orioles once envisioned.
