Last year, the Basketball Academy was moved to Lake Clifton after an NCAA rule change banned "nonscholastic" high school basketball events from Division I college campuses. Even then Academy officials were certain that the scholastic component of their event -- which mandates all student participants take classes in SAT preparation, financial literacy, gang awareness and/or bullying prevention -- would allow it back on a college campus.
