A 25-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded this afternoon in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
Someone shot him in the back about 2 p.m. in the 4300 block of West Armitage Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss.
Paramedics responded to the 4400 block of West Armitage and took the victim in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Kevin MacGregor.
