French Wines and Asian Hunter Cooking Dinner at Forbidden City Bistro

Forbidden City Bistro's Nov. 7 wine dinner is for the adventurous, featuring "Asian hunter" cooking with a selection of French wines. Robert Tibbetts of Allan S Goodman Inc. is the guest speaker. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

First course: Frog legs tempura, pomelo and vermicelli salad (Marquis de Goulaine Pouilly Fume 2011, Loire Valley)

Second course: Spiced soy poached guinea hen, Hakka ramen (Domaine Laroche Chablis, Cuvee Saint Martin 2010, Burgundy)

Third course: Yunan pulled rabbit ravioli, caramelized aged black bean, garlic and jalapeño (Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages 2010, Burgundy)

Fourth course: Confit of duck and chinese sausage steamed with anise rice in a casserole (Pierre Amadieu Vacqueyras 2010, Rhone Valley)

Fifth course: Shortcake with "pandan ice cream" and "sago creme"
