Kathryn Naomi Lape, 85, Berlin, formerly of Gray, died Jan. 28, 2013 at Somerset Hospice House, Somerset. Born Dec. 24, 1927 in Somerset, daughter of Earl Clayton and Leah Mae (Miller) Stahl. Preceded in death by parents, first husband Clinton Joy Miller, second husband Foster Peter Lape, grandson and his wife and daughters: Forrest, Susan, Megan and Brooke Stitely, brother Presley C. Stahl and infant brother and sister: Galen and Darly. Survived by children: Donald Miller, married to the former Carol Azarian of Milwaukee, Diana Stitely and husband Donald of Vowinckle, Rick Lape, married to the former Bernice Hoover of Gray, Larry Lape and wife Dottie of LaVale, Md., Cindy Berkey and husband Timothy of Boswell, grandchildren: Randy (Stacey) Miller, Wayne (Cassie) Miller, Stephanie (David) Hauserman, John (Kelly) Haburcsak, Brittanney (John Gault) Haburcsak, Scarlet (Josh Fabrizio) Haburcsak, Abby Haburcsak, Benjamin Lape, Corey Lape, David (Gayle) Kerns, Crystal Kerns, Ranee (Josh) Sleek, Crissy Wilhelm, Aaron Berkey; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Emily, Mason, Antonio, Emaly, Jonathan, Brittina (Dylan), Shelly, Shelby, Jillian, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Carin, Nehemiah, Nathanial, Jonathan; and great-great-granddaughter: Ashlyn. Brother Theodore C. Stahl of Somerset. Kathryn is a graduate of Somerset High School, she delivered telegrams for Western Union during WWII. She also worked for Somerset Farm Bureau, Mayfair Creamery, Stahl Oil, Baltimore Life Insurance and was an Assistant Postmaster for the Gray Post Office until her retirement. She was a member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and one hour prior to the service at the church which will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at Mt.
