Games rescheduled
The winter weather forced schools to close early and athletic events to be postponed Friday.
Here are the rescheduled events that were provided from schools:
The Conemaugh Township girls home game against Central Cambria has been rescheduled for Feb. 15. The Conemaugh Township at North Star boys basketball game has been rescheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. as a varsity only game.
Somerset's home boys varsity basketball game against Bishop Guilfoyle has been rescheduled for Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. with the varsity game to start at 7:15 p.m. The junior high girls basketball game at Bishop Guilfoyle will be played at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 12.
Berlin's girls/boys basketball doubleheader with Shanksville will be played today. The boys junior varsity game will begin at 1 p.m. with the boys varsity game to follow at approximately 2 p.m. and the girls varsity game to follow at approximately 3:15 p.m. The Berlin at Salisbury rifle match will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
North Star's home boys basketball game will be made up at 6 p.m. Monday as a varsity only contest. The Rockwood versus North Star girls game will follow at 7:30 p.m. It is also a varsity only game.
Senior bowling
SOMERSET — The team of Mickey Talley, Bunda Hainzer and Devon Miller scattered 1,943 pins for top senior bowling honors Friday.
