    Spring water is rich and plentiful at this time of year. Pouring out of the mountains and yet unapproved for drinking. That doesn't mean it's unsafe. Todd Fowler of the Bedford County Health Department says the county simply doesn't test it.  It might be fine one day and contaminated with run-off the next. Fowler believes no one can be sure. That's why the county has posted a sign beside Villamont spring that warns: "Water not approved for drinking."
