Central Connecticut hosts Wagner tonight in NEC play at Detrick Gym, the latest opportunity for freshman forward Brandon Peel to show what a rebounder he has become.

In four games as a starter, Peel is averaging 7.3 points and 11.5 rebounds (with 18 offensive rebounds). He also leads the team with seven steals and six blocks in those games.

Peel is averaging 5.7 rebounds, second among NEC newcomers and second on the team to Matt Hunter.

He was named NEC co-rookie of the week with LIU-Brookyln’s E.J. Reed after grabbing 27 rebounds in two games (including a career-high 17 against Sacred Heart).
