Eli Manning, born Jan. 3, 1981, is the starting quarterback for the NFL's New York Giants. He was acquired in a draft-day trade in 2004 from the San Diego Chargers, who had selected him with the draft's first pick. In 2007-08, he led the Giants to an upset victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, spoiling New England's perfect season and earning the Giants their third Super Bowl victory.
