    Salem, Va. Community members were walking for a cause in Salem. This afternoon marked the 2nd Annual Amazing Race. Proceeds will help those with Muscular Dystrophy. Teams competed in games and relays and were also asked to raise at least 74- dollars....

    Horses and country music aren&rsquo;t an unusual pairing. Their immediate association with American western folklore has tied them both together so tightly that most people can&rsquo;t fathom the amount of country songs about horses. But the two were seen together in our community on September 29<sup>th</sup> for a very unusual and very important reason. The place was Boones Mill, and the event was the 2012 Hoedown FUNdraiser for Healing Strides of Virginia.
