Adolhamid Moghbel, born June 2, 1953, in Teheran, Iran, passed peacefully in his home at 455 Jonathan St., Hagerstown, Md., Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012.
Hamid was preceded in death by his son, Darwish Moghbel, Jan. 21, 2012; and father, Mortesa Moghbel.
Survivors are former wife, Claudia Goertz, Knoxville, Md.; son, Ali Moghbel, Hamburg, Germany; and daughter, Hannah Moghbel, Hagerstown. Also surviving are his mother, Afsar Hatami; sisters, Nasrin Moghbel, Shahnaz Moghbel and Parisima Moghbel, all of Irvine, Calif.; and a brother, Saiid Moghbel, Toronto, Ontario.
A joint memorial service for both Darwish and Hamid will be held at Living Word Ministries, 13722 Monterey Lane, Blue Ridge Summit, PA 21714, Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m.
Donations may be made to United Way of Franklin County, 183 S. Coldbrook Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
