    It's a car wash with a special cause and a way for a mother to keep her son's memory alive. Lorena Wilson organized a car wash to raise money for a college scholarship fund. Her 19-year-old son Marcus died in 2010 when his car crashed following a police pursuit. His housemate had reported the car stolen but Lorena Wilson says her son was innocent.Wilson says helping young adults attend college is a great way to honor her son. Wilson says any Roanoke high school student can apply for the scholarship as long as they have a 2.5 GPA and write a 250-word essay on why they should be awarded the scholarship.
