Assemblymen V. Manuel Pérez, D-Coachela, and Ben Hueso, D-San Diego, will hold a state oversight hearing on current efforts and future opportunities to restore the Salton Sea, according to an announcement made today.
The first panel discussion will include state and federal agency representatives from the California Natural Resources Agency, Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the California Department of Water Resources.
The second panel discussion will focus on air quality issues.
The third panel discussion will have speakers from local stakeholders.
The hearing will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at the North Shore Community Center, 99155 Sea View Drive, Mecca.
