Missing 16-year-old found; Amber Alert canceled

An Amber Alert issued for a missing 16-year-old girl has been canceled.

Briana Troyer was last seen at the Tower Bowling Lanes about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Troyer is a special ed student and has the mental age of a 9-year-old. She also has a speech impediment. She was found safe about 7:44 a.m. Wednesday.

Troyer had been bowling with friends at Tower Lanes in Tacoma, but when they were done bowling she refused to leave with her friends. She was seen leaving on foot with 21-year-old Terrence Powell.

A tip led police to Powell's home where the two were found. Powell is a Level 1 sex offender; it is unknown if charges will be filed against him.
