Wired journalists says his iCloud accounts were hacked

Mat Honan is a Wired technology journalist. His daily forecast? Cloudy with a chance of hacking.

Just like many of us, Mat uses Apple's iCloud. You know, the storage you can't see, touch, feel or smell, but it's out there. Trust us! It's got your pictures, music and personal information on it.

Recently, Mat's iCloud transformed from a puffy white place of storage to a dark grey place for hiding hackers. Yes, we're cirrus (bad cloud joke!)

Honan says hackers used security holes at Amazon and Apple to access his iCloud account. Once they were in the cloud, they took over his Gmail and Twitter accounts, and wiped his computer, iPhone and iPad clean.

But if it's only one person, should you be concerned?

Yes.

Apple's co-founder, Steve Wozniak, just recently said he predicts "horrible problems" with cloud computing in the coming years.

Geeze! What are we to do if Steve Wozniak can't see the silver lining?
