LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Well-known graffiti artist "Revok" aka: Jason Williams has been sentenced to 180 days in jail for violating his probation in a previous vandalism conviction.
Prosecutors say Williams violated his probation on a misdemeanor vandalism charge by failing to pay adequate restitution to his victims.
The 34-year old was arrested as he tried to board a plane at Los Angeles International Airport Thursday morning, police revealed Sunday.
Williams is well known in the graffiti vandalism culture and is a member of the graffiti crew 'Mad Society Kings' or MSK, according to Cpt. Mike Parker of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
He was arrested last year with several hundred cans of spray paint near a graffiti store he had vandalized.
He was also in possession of a fake police badge, Parker said.
'We take graffiti vandalism very seriously,' said Sheriff's Lt. Vince Carter.
In 2009 he was placed on parole for a felony vandalism charge in Indio.
