Owner Julie Francis, who is a dedicated runner herself, says her staff gets regular courses from podiatrists, orthopedics and running shoe representatives to make sure customers can run injury free. “It’s not just about having cute shoes,” Francis says. “It’s how are those going to work for you as a runner?” Francis and her son Preston Ranton, who is also a co-owner, say their stores are also integral parts of the growing subculture of runners. The company sponsors two road races and also has weekly runs for people of all skill levels."
