The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Hereford High graduate and long snapper Andy DePaola on Monday.
The 25-year-old DePaola played college football at Rutgers University, where he was tutored by Buccaneers' head coach Greg Schiano.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound DePaola led Hereford to a Class 2A football state championship in 2003 and the state final the previous season from the quarterback position.
He also played baseball and basketball for the Bulls and was the 2005 North County News Athlete of the Year.
