    The Basics: This latest update to the operating software for iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads promises all sorts of amazing updates. The biggest update is iCloud, which will automatically sync all of your Apple devices together, replacing the lackluster and under performing MobileMe. There are some other updates, like Reminders, a native notification center (which includes some widgets), Newsstand (a place for e-newspaper and e-magazine subscriptions, and a few other cool things as well. Apple also says that all updates and syncing will now run in the background and there will be no more reason to ever have to plug the iPhone into a computer.
