1. Tell us about your weekend dining

Dining@Large
Some of you posted about your weekend dining plans. How did everything go? Even if you didn't post, tell us now. What's good out there? How was Bluestone? A friend told me that she was headed to Frederick on Friday......

3. Giants' success more than following lucky stars

Before they became the best organization in baseball, the Giants were Barry Bonds' team. They seemed unable to break free from the flawed slugger for a long time, sticking with the disgraced star for six years after his record-setting 2001 season.

5. Orioles payroll will rise, just not in a flashy way

Let the debate begin in earnest about the decision by the Orioles to cut loose first baseman Mark Reynolds.
Let the debate begin in earnest about the decision by the Orioles to cut loose first baseman Mark Reynolds. Reynolds is a free agent today because he stood to make about $9 million next year following salary arbitration. He earned $7.5 million during...

7. Orioles have been quiet, but that's no reason to panic

It's late November and all is relatively quiet on the Orioles front, which has got to be frustrating for a still-wary fan base that has watched the Toronto Blue Jays undergo a startling competitive transformation over the past few weeks and knows that the checkbooks will be coming out in New York and Boston any minute now.

9. Masterful Move By Girardi The Genius

At 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, Joe Girardi became a genius. Either that, or like millions of other Yankee fans, he finally had seen enough of Alex Rodriguez. Maybe the bigger truth is Joe Girardi just couldn't take it anymore.

11. O's get ready to prove everyone wrong yet again

It should come as a surprise to no one that the oddsmakers solidly favor the New York Yankees in the best-of-five division series that begins this evening at Camden Yards.

13. The Orioles: Remember winning? Remember that?

And just think, Orioles fans, they got this far without Nolan Reimold. Remember him? No. 14. Tall, good-looking guy, 28 years old. Left fielder at the start of the season and the Orioles' lead-off batter to replace the injured Brian Roberts. (Remember him?)

15. Duquette and Showalter keep pushing the right buttons to keep Orioles winning

It was fairly obvious when the Orioles broke camp in April that they were not going to lead the American League in team ERA and fielding percentage. They didn't figure to be the most productive offensive team, either, which left plenty of room to wonder how they were going to be competitive in what was again expected to be one of the strongest divisions in baseball.

17. Power rankings: No. 22 Orioles

No. 22 Orioles: 9th in a series counting down to spring training. Next: Mariners.
No. 22 Orioles: 9th in a series counting down to spring training. Next: Mariners. The Orioles aren't hopeless. But it's difficult to imagine how they're going to restore the luster to this once-great franchise until Peter G. Angelos takes the first...

19. So far so good for Orioles and Nationals

Don’t look now, but the Orioles and Nationals are in first place. I said don’t look. As I write this column Friday afternoon, Baltimore (8-5) holds a one-game lead over New York and Tampa Bay in the American League East, and Washington (10-...
