         A player from Virginia Tech has won the Dudley Award for the state's best college football player in 6 of the last 8 years, but this year the Hokies didn't have a finalist for the award.  The last three standing were UVA linebacker Steve Greer, JMU linebacker Stephon Robertson, and Old Dominion quarterback Taylor Heinicke.
