Each week, we bring you a Q&A with a Ravens player, coach or team executive to help you learn a little more about the team. Today's guest is outside linebacker Paul Kruger. You've been on a pretty nice run with 4½ sacks in the last four games. What has...

3. Defense can't stop Seahawks one final time

After pulling off one Houdini-like act after another and limiting the Seattle Seahawks to field goals despite their advantageous field position, the Ravens defense needed to force the Seahawks to punt one more time and give the ball back to the Ravens' offense with less than five minutes left.

7. One day Ravens will have to prepare for life without Ray Lewis

The question is seemingly asked every year at this time, as if there is a handbook on how you confront the loss of a 13-time Pro Bowl performer, one of the best ever at his position and a player that has served as one of the faces of the franchise since the day the NFL returned to Baltimore.

The odds did not favor the Ravens.
The odds did not favor the Ravens. After sleepwalking through Saturday's second half, the offense lined up on fourth-and-2 at the Cleveland Browns' 37-yard line at the two-minute mark of the fourth quarter. And although everyone at M&T Bank Stadium and...

15. With Terrell Suggs' injury, Courtney Upshaw could be Ravens' next man up

Last weekend, the Ravens drafted Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw to complement Terrell Suggs, the 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. But after today’s unfortunate news, Upshaw might have to try to replace him -- if not at his position, then at least in terms of impact.

17. Instant Analysis: Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs suffers Achilles injury

Jeff Zrebiec, Ravens reporter: Terrell Suggs is visiting a specialist next week so we won't know the extent of the injury and whether he'll need season-ending surgery until then, but that's obviously the fear. And any sort of Achilles' injury is terrible news for a guy so reliant on his power and explosiveness. It obviously goes without saying that Suggs is one of the few players that the Ravens simply can't replace. He's a rare game-changer and playmaker on defense, a guy that teams account for, often with two players. What a challenge coach John Harbaugh and new defensive coordinator Dean Pees will have trying to figure out a way to consistently get to the quarterback without Suggs in there. Not only does it make the selection of Courtney Upshaw last week critical, but it also makes the Ravens' investment and commitment to their young cornerbacks look even smarter. If Suggs is out for the 2012 campaign, the Ravens will need every single member of that defense to take his game to another level.

The Ravens won’t know the extent of Terrell Suggs’ Achilles tendon injury until Tuesday, but they are prepared to be without their top pass rusher and the reigning NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year for a good part — if not all — of the 2012 season.
