  5. Greenbrier Classic decided in a playoff

    The Final Round of the Greenbrier Classic began with Anthony Kim as the leader.  It finished with a three way playoff that didn't included Kim, but three golfers who got into the playoff three very different ways.  In the end it was Kim's playing partner, rookie Scott Stallings who made a birdie on the first playoff hole to earn his first PGA Tour win.

  7. Second Time Around for the Greenbrier Classic

    The first year of The Greenbrier Classic in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia saw plenty of low scores including a final round 59 by champion Stuart Appleby.  As soon as the tournament ended the Greenbrier went to work lengthening the course for the second tournament.  The Old White now measure 7274 yards from the back tees with 8 holes having yardage added.

  9. PGA Tour Pro Shaun Micheel Lends a Hand to Swing Fore a Cure

          PGA Tour Professional Shaun Micheel won the 2003 PGA Championship and finished as the runner-up in 2006.  He also lost his mother to cancer in October of last year, so Monday he passed up a chance to try to qualify for the U.S. Open in favor of a trip to the Water's Edge Country Club in Penhook to Swing Fore a Cure, the American Cancer Society's fundraiser for cancer research.  To date, the event has raised nearly a million dollars for the cause.
