Why you should go: One of Broadway’s biggest success stories will be performing at Century II for two nearly two weeks in a row. The popular, Tony-award winning musical ‘Jersey Boys’ is based on the real-life story of 1960s rock ’n’ roll group Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Jersey Boys tells the rags-to-riches story of four blue-collar boys from New Jersey – Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi – working their way from the streets of Newark to becoming one of the biggest musical acts of their era. The musical includes a number of hit songs that led the band to world-wide fame, including “Sherry,” “Walk like a Man,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “December, 1963 (Oh What A Night),” and many other familiar songs.
Before you consider taking the whole family to the musical, note that Jersey Boys is not recommended for all ages. The performance contains profane “authentic” Jersey language, sexual situations, drug references, gun shots, smoke and strobe lights. It’s recommended for ages 12 and older.
