  1. Power being restored, roads reopening in Central PA

    The weather is certainly different than the past several days. It's a bit raw outside but the rain and wind has slowed down considerably. But now is the hard part. The cleanup is underway across the area as power crews try and restore electricity to almost 12,000 still in the dark here in Central Pennsylvania. Road crews are also trying to reopen hundreds of roads closed by high waters.

  17. Ramp from westbound Route 283 to northbound Interstate 283 scheduled for overnight closures starting Sunday

    Starting Sunday night, Sept. 16, and continuing through Thursday night, Sept. 20, construction work will close the ramp from westbound Route 283 to northbound   Interstate 283 in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, during the overnight hours those nights between 8:30 p.m. and 5:30 the next morning. The closures are necessary so that work crews can safely conduct repairs to the concrete pavement. This work should be completed in these five nights unless the contractor loses a night of work due to rain. Traffic will be detoured by way of the ramps in the interchange first to southbound I-283, then to eastbound Route 283, and finally on to northbound I-283.
