Steve has been keeping WGN listeners up to date since he joined the station in 1985. His first awards came for his coverage of the death of Mayor Harold Washington. He has since won several others for anchoring and reporting, including a Chicago Headline Club Peter Lisagor Award.
Steve has been a fixture at the anchor chair since 1992, working with WGN greats such as Kathy and Judy, Wally Philips, Roy Leonard, Spike O'Dell, John Williams and Garry Meier.
He spent six years on the road with the Chicago Bears, producing WGN Radio's play by play and hosting pre- and post- game shows.
He was the host of WGN's popular Saturday morning show from 2000-2004.
Away from WGN, Steve was the host of Meet the Writers for BarnesandNoble.com. Steve has interviewed hundreds of the world's top writers, establishing a national reputation in the publishing world.
He and his wife Sharon live with their two children in Deerfield.
