JOHNSBURG, Ill.—
The search that began Friday night for an ice fisherman who disappeared at a lake in McHenry County, ended in tragedy.
The body of 29-year-old Justin Ribar was pulled from Pistakee Lake near Johnsburg Saturday morning.
Emergency crews began to search for Ribar after he was heard yelling for help Friday evening.
The ice where Ribar was fishing was only two inches thick and considered unsafe after this week's 40-degree temperatures.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, but officials suspect that he drowned.
