Brig. Gen. Charles E. “Sonny” Fox, son of Winchester Mayor and Mrs. Eldon Fox, recently became only the second Clark County native to reach the rank of general. He is responsible for the 21,000 employees of the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.
The Winchester-Clark County Industrial Development Authority agreed Friday to continue efforts to bring Seaboard Farms’ multi-million dollar poultry processing complex to Winchester. Citing the need for agricultural diversification and increased industrial growth, the authority discussed several strategies for wooing the Athens, Ga.-based company to Winchester.
CINCINNATI¿(AP) — Now that Cincinnati Reds reliever John Franco is on his second All-Star team, he hopes to get into his first All-Star game. Franco and Reds catcher Bo Diaz were the Reds players named Thursday to help round out the NL All-Star team.
