Irene Bowling, 80, of Winchester, widow of Charlie Bowling, passed away Monday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. 
A native of Knott County, she was born Jan. 31, 1932, to the late Leonard and Martha Browning Shepherd. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

Survivors include three sons, Leo Bowling of Winchester, James Lee (Della) Bowling of Ohio and Billy Bowling of Winchester; one daughter, Christine (Charles) Watts of Clark County; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Wilson, and one grandson, John Watts. 
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., with Brother Atwood Winkle officiating. 
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. 
Pallbearers will be Tommy Trickett, Dakota Trickett, Eddie Smith, Daniel Watts, Donnie Wilson and Martin Watts.
