Rowdy Golden Girls seeking names

The Rowdy Golden Girls Homemakers Club will be sending Ale-8-One to military personnel from Clark and Powell counties serving overseas. Anyone wishing to submit the name and address of a soldier to receive Ale-8 should contact the Rowdy Golden Girls at 744-8742 or email rggwinky@gmail.com.

All names must be received by Dec. 7 so the drinks can be shipped in time to reach the soldiers for Christmas.

Thanksgiving buffet at Brooks Place

Rose Mary C. Brooks Place will host a Thanksgiving buffet Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.

Housing board meeting Nov. 27

The Central Kentucky Fuller Center for Housing Board will meet Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

Veterans program to be discussed

Eileen Ward, of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, will be at Rose Mary C. Brooks Place Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.  to discuss the Aid and Assistance Program for veterans.

Brooks Place hosts pancake breakfast

Rose Mary C. Brooks Place will host a pancake breakfast Dec. 8 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. Children 5 and younger     eat for free.

Winchester CoG hosting health screenings

The Winchester Church of God Cathedral will host Lifeline screenings Dec. 6. Screening packages start at $149 and can identify possible cardiovascular conditions. Osteoporosis screening also is available. To schedule a screening appointment, call 1-877-237-1287. Pre-registration is required.
