Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies arrested former Colts player Jeff Burris early Wednesday morning for driving under the influence.
A deputy reportedly saw Burris' car driving in reverse at about 1:30 am Wednesday near 101st Street and College Avenue. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, during which Burris allegedly failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer. Police obtained a search warrant and later conducted a blood test on Burris.
Burris was released on $2,500 bond from the Hamilton County Jail at about 10:30 am Wednesday.
Burris played for the Colts from 1998-2001 and is currently an assistant football coach at Fishers High School, where he has worked part time since July 2007.
