DANVILLE, Va.—
A Pittsylvania County man was seriously injured Thursday morning after being thrown from his car in Danville.
The driver was headed west on Westover Drive in Danville when he struck a telephone pole near Vandola Road.
He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Danville Police Department.
The man was flown to Duke University Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.
The crash happened around 7:25 a.m. Thursday.
