Here in Omaha, Nebraska the Virginia Cavaliers are in a tight spot, needing to beat Vanderbilt tonight to force a decisive game three on Wednesday. Coach Brian O'Connor's team has been pretty good in bounce back situations this season. They lost just one regular season series and didn't lose on back to back days all year. derek fisher/virginia left fielder: that statistic alone shows a lot about us and shows we are able to bounce back and we have a lot of guys on this team who aren't gonna give up. when you look at the grand scheme of things, when you are playing against a team like vanderbilt you are going to have to play hard every single day and that's why the national championship is the best of three games rather than one. brandon cogswell/ virginia second baseman: it gives you a little comfort factor knowing that we haven't been beaten twice all year but this is a different stage and this is a different ballclub. they're a very good ballclub. you want to press reset. you can't take anything for granted. we still have to win two ballgames but we're gonna fight and we're gonna show what we're made of. brian o'connor/ virginia baseball coach: we've played this whole season and we've played seventy ballgames or so and this team has really responded after a loss all year and i think it's really what has defined this ballclub. you know we haven't had losing streaks. we've found a way to come back.
