try to find positive outlets for kids in Lynchburg, the city's largest shopping center is limiting access to young people. River Ridge Mall is introducing a "Yout Escort Policy." Starting July 25th, shoppers under the age of 18 will need an adult escort on Friday and Saturday nights after 6. The escort can be a parent, relative, or guardian over the age of 21. Mall officials say they're trying to curb a rising number of unsupervised teens that are just haning around and causing problems. Gregory Biastock/General Manager: "w certainly welcome all of our teenage shoppers and we invite them to participate in our shopping hours, as long as they have a parental representative or guardian." Minors won't need an adult to access the Regal Cinema movie theater or any of the mall stores that have an outside entrance. Valley View Mall in Roanoke has enforced a similar policy for several years. Both Valley View and River Ridge are owned by c-b-l properties.
