Pearisburg say they've got an expensive heating problem on their hands. The old heating system inside the Pearisburg Community Center broke down last Fall after 75 years. The center once was the Pearisburg High School. It was built using asbestos pipes and lead paint. Now the town says it has to find a way to repair the old place. "We anticipated we' have to do some major work on it at some point. It's probably sooner than we would have planned but it had other plans." The town hopes to meet with engineers and architects, and by Fall, figure out how to fund this project. It could cost as much as 2 million dollars.
