9-1-1 service restored in Alleghany County, but prisoners moved to another jail

Prisoners had to be moved from the Alleghany County Jail following a power outage at the jail Wednesday.

Also, 9-1-1 service went down for a period of time, but it has been restored. 

The power outage was caused when the generator and back-up batteries powering the jail and 911 center went down.
