Much colder air will return next week. A true sign winter isn't quite over. Highs will return to the 30s and 40s across the region. Meanwhile, the Canadian and GFS models suggest a weaker system may bring light snow to the area during the February 25-26 time-frame (TUE-WED). While it doesn't appear to be anything earth shattering compared to last week's storm, it is worth watching.
Models also suggest another system may develop during the first week of March. That too, needs to be monitored, as temperatures are forecast to remain below average.
The dry weather this afternoon will not last long as a southwest flow introduces more heat and humidity into the area. Highs on Saturday warm quickly into the upper 80s and low 90s under a blend of sun and clouds.
