Quick clearing this afternoon; Teens overnight
Little to no accumulation until you reach the Highlands
As rain exits, the cold and snowy conditions remain across the higher elevations of the Highlands and Greenbrier Valleys where several inches fell early Tuesday.
Expect skies to clear this afternoon, turning breezy and staying cool with highs in the upper 30s/low 40s.
**If driving north of the Roanoke Valley into Northern Virginia, be aware much heavier snow is expected there, with Winter Storm Warnings from Staunton and Harrisonburg into Washington D.C.
Cold high pressure will deliver some very cold nights, with lows in the upper teens and low 20s tonight and Wednesday night.
REST OF THE WEEK
Wednesday through Friday appear sunny and cooler than average, with highs in the upper 30s/low 40s.
The active pattern continues with another disturbance coming from the southwest that could bring additional rain/snow showers late Saturday and again Sunday.
