Storm Team 12: Dry chill

Another system will be coming from the west into Thursday, but much of the state is expected to remain dry. A few flurries may fall over northern Kansas, but accumulation is not expected.

Overnight, lows will dip down into the single digits west but should stay just above 10 degrees in central and southern Kansas. Wind chills below zero will be likely throughout western Kansas.

There will be an increase in clouds for Thursday with a few flurries north of I-70. Temperatures will be near 20 in the northwest where there is snow on the ground. Highs in the upper 20s and low 30s will be common in central and southern Kansas. The winds may be a bit gusty from time to time, driving wind chills down into the single digits.

This weekend will not be as cold with highs in the 30s Saturday and back into the 40s for Sunday.
