  • Hazard types...freezing rain and snow.
  • Accumulations...3 to 5 inches of snow and sleet. Ice accumulation up to one-tenth of an inch.
  • Timing...freezing rain across western Maryland will change to rain late this afternoon into this evening. Elsewhere...rain is expected through this evening. Rain will change to snow around midnight.
  • Impacts...roads may be slippery this afternoon...especially across western Maryland. Roads will be snow covered and slippery late tonight. Visibility will be reduced below one- mile at times in snow.
  • Winds...south 10 to 15 mph with gusts around 20 mph...becoming northwest after midnight.
  • Temperatures...rising into the mid to upper 30s by early this evening. Temperatures will rapidly fall into the lower and middle 20s late tonight. Precautionary/preparedness actions...
