We started the day with record temperatures in Roanoke and Danville with lows falling to the low and mid 30s.

A FREEZE WARNING has been issued for the Alleghany Highlands and Greenbrier Valley.

A FROST ADVISORY has been issued for Lynchburg and Central Virginia through Tuesday morning.

Record low temperatures will be challenged as well. By this afternoon highs return to near 70 with abundant sunshine.

Wednesday features partly sunny skies with highs climbing well into the 80s.

Thursday and Friday call for highs to bounce to the lower 80s.  Both days looks partly sunny, with a few showers or storms possible. We're back into that summer pattern with the chance of thunderstorms each afternoon with the heating of the day.
