Virginia Tech Storm Chase

Each Spring, students and faculty from Virginia Tech conduct a field course in storm chasing. The course teaches students forecasting methods used in the prediction of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.

5,500 miles through 15 states, tracking 7 supercells, seeing at least 1 confirmed tornado (Wyoming) plus 2 or 3 other possible tornadoes.
