Download the newest version of the WDBJ7Weather App for photo/video sharing.
iHOMETOWN - PHOTO/VIDEO SHARING
You wouldn't believe the time it takes to look through every email, Facebook and Twitter account to find your great photos and videos. Now you can send the photos and videos straight from your phone's photo gallery to us.
SHARE PHOTOS/VIDEOS INSIDE OUR WEATHER APP
Be sure to update your Android/iOS app to get a new tab called SHARE at the bottom of the weather app. Now you can take photos/videos using the WDBJ7Weather App for the Droid and iPhone/iPad and they come directly into the weather computer and WDBJ7.com to be used.
PERSONAL WEATHER STATIONS
Our partnership with Weather Underground gives you access to more than 25,000 personal weather stations. What's that? These are weather stations that people have in their backyard that measure temperature, wind, humidity and even rainfall. We have hundreds of them located across our region.
For some, yesterday's weather is just as important as tomorrow's. That's why we have created a portal to keep track of what has already happened. In our Almanac section you'll get the highs/lows/rainfall and now, even monthly and yearly rainfall graphics that are updated daily. We continue to add links to this section.
SEVERE WEATHER CENTER
When the weather looks ugly, we look our best. Our Severe Weather Center has everything you need to track severe weather along with us. Updates from First Alert Meteorologists, radar, NEW Live Streaming Broadcasts from WDBJ7. When we need to cover severe weather for longer stretches off-air, you'll still find us here.
Much like the grocery store, you prefer similar items be on the same aisle. We agree. Now, all forecast products including the 7 Day Planner, discussion, text forecast and hour-by-hour are on the same page.
A bookmark is like your car. You expect it to work, and when it doesn't, you get upset. No need for that. Below are a few bookmarks that you might want to have.

We are always developing new ways to bring you weather information and interact with our users. Here's a few things that are in development.
Along with our static radar and interactive, street-level radar, a few of you have still said, "We like that OLD radar better." Some look forward and never look back. Online, there's no need for that kind of thinking. That's why, in July, we will also make available the interactive radar we first launched in 2010. It has very basic interactive features, and ONLY works on computers that have flash. This means, it won't work on iPads or other non-flash mobile devices. That should also change in an upgrade later in the Fall. This will give you three (3) types of radars to choose from. Find that anywhere else?
