Jubilo volunteers

From top to bottom, left to right, are Daniel Shields, a University of Kentucky student; Josie Burton, an alum of UK and the University of Louisville; Brandi Anderson, a recent Eastern Kentucky University graduate; Chris Ledford, a UofL graduate assistant; Maggie LaFace, an Indiana University Southeast student; Powers Gillespie, a recent UofL graduate; Briana Wise, a UofL student; and Jim Ledford, a graduate of Somerset Community College. The students are volunteers working to organize the first Jubilo Music & Arts Festival at Fort Boonesborough State Park in Madison County. The festival is scheduled for Sept. 13-16, and organizers hope it raises enough money to eventually create a $1 million scholarship program for Appalachian students.
