State Police trying to identify pedestrian hit on 460 in Botetourt County

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: Virginia State Police say the pedestrian hit Friday morning is a white man in his mid-30s. He did not have identification on him and was taken to a hospital as a John Doe. State police need help identifying him, but have not made a photo available yet.

The accident has been cleared and lanes are back open on US-460 east.

ORIGINAL STORY: Drivers on US-460 can expect delays Friday morning due to an accident.

All eastbound lanes are closed.

According to Botetourt County, a pedestrian was hit in the vicinity of Hillcrest Street, near the Marathon gas station.

A detour is in place on 460 east.
