Alleged burglars arrested after being shot by resident

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - Two men have been charged after being shot by the person they are accused of assaulting.
Lynchburg Police officers were called at 1:40 a.m. November 25 to a home in the 100 block of Wooldridge Circle for a report of a burglary in progress. They were told two men had knocked on the door of the home and assaulted the resident who answered the door. The resident shot both men, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
James Franklin, 27, of Roanoke, and Alan Mould, 26, of Lynchburg, are charged with breaking and entering and assault and battery.
