ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Many of the furniture manufacturers in our region have taken their production to other countries, but not all of them.

Frank Chervan Incorporated is a family-owned business, more than 80 years in the making. It has built a reputation for quality, while crafting furniture for a wide variety of commercial clients.

Two months ago, it launched a new consumer line called TXTUR.

Greg Terrill is the President of TXTUR Furniture.

“We literally make it from start to finish and we’re all about making you your furniture, not trying to sell you ours,” he told WDBJ7.

Black Dog Salvage has signed on as the first TXTUR showroom, and on Wednesday morning a team of employees toured the Roanoke factory where the furniture is made.

Mike Whiteside is the Co-Owner of Black Dog Salvage.

“This is a real jewel in our area,” Whiteside said in an interview. “Nobody had a clue that this kind of furniture was being manufactured at such scale right here in Virginia, much less Roanoke, Virginia.”

Customers can order TXTUR furniture online, and they can also check it out at Black Dog Salvage on Memorial Avenue.
